POEM 1: WAR

Travelling high and low
Amidst of shelling bullets of war
Travelling, exploring everything which came
Galloping in front of me

I was being circled by anxiety and madness
A gruelling world, every bit fast forwarded
Frozen in lake of tears I stood still
Amidst of shelling bullets of war

Like a tree in the mid of a desert
Betrayed even by the showers
I stood silent
Amidst of shelling bullets of war

Leaves shed trunk bored of bullets
Its pain in spite of sap inside, I noticed
Laughing at me I felt, the whole world
Fast life, no place for a slow snail

I see birds shedding the feathers
The wings naked as if abstained from flying
A miserable sight, alas for the birds
Chirping low as crying in pain

Squirrels shivering in fear stood up, folded its arms
And the snakes which does not take its weary old skin
New life is far ahead, the present is hard to live
Amidst of shelling bullets of war I stood

I stood in a country side bus stop
Counting time, an invaluable task
Farmers carrying gunnies loaded with grains
Then started the firing..............

There go the grains scattered on the ground
Along with dreams for better life
I stood silent like a coward
Not even shielding myself

There it go the roof taken away by the shell
Nasty burnt smell of gun powder entered my nostrils
I fainted as my blood came to sight
Amidst, shelling bullets of war I stood..................
